Gym Rules
All matches are best of five.

All matches are three stock with a time limit of eight minutes.

All matches are to be played on neutral stages.*

All members must wait three days after losing to another member before rechallenging that member, except matches in which gym leaders challenge other gym leaders in order to become members of the elite four, in which case they must wait five days before rechallenging the other leader.

Meta Knight's Infinite Dimensional Cape is banned.

No stalling. If you believe your opponent has broken this rule, save a video of the match and send it to the gym leader, who will decide if they believe it was broken. If they do, the win will go to the opponent of the staller.

All legitimate challenges must be accepted, or the person who is being challenged will forfeit their gym position.

If you challenge someone and they do not reply with in 3 days, they automatically forfeit the match.

If you are going on a vacation for up to a week, notify your gym leader and they will temporarily put your challenges on hold.

Note: While these rules apply in general to all gyms, gym leaders may tweak them slightly to fit the gym's needs. Each gym will have a listed ruleset (in most cases copied from this post), which all members must read before taking part in the gyms.
