Thats right as the title says, it's time to count down the best fighthing games ever. Before we get to the list I will like to adress a quick rule. Like in Screwattack's top ten list, only one game per series will be in(so you're not going to see Brawl and Melee on the same list ) and remember this is just my perspective, so don't take it too seriously. :P Anyways it's on to the list, will your favorite fighter be on the list? Lets find out!














10.Guilty Gear X2 Reload





Thats right, before the monster that was Blazblue, Arksys gave us one hell of a fighter. Having awsome detailed sprite animation, a kickass soundtrack, and a well variety of characters to select from. Back in 05 this game took arcade competition to a new level(well in my local arcade anyway) This was a new ideal for the fighthing game community and it is still to this day one of my favorite games to play.




9. Tekken 6






Tekken, a name that is classic to all fighthing game fans. This game recently launched not too long ago, and playing it at a friends house, I would say this it the best Tekken game in the seires. The Graphics are amazing, while having all the HD graphics the classic fighthing formula to this game is untouched giving all Tekken fans, a badass new game to play. This one is very awsome if your down with 3d fighters.




8. Soul Calibur





This game(along with Sonic Adventure) were the first games when I got my DC back in the day, I was amazed when I first put this bastard in my DC. The Multiple charcters and their different style of fighthing was very intresting, not to mention the visuals were very splendid as well. I already know what some of you are thinking, "What about Soul Calibur IV?" Remember this is just my perspective and I think that this Soul Calibur nods the spot. If you lived through out the short but sweet DC Era, you would know that this game was everywhere and the competition was spot on.(you don't need any Jedi or Sith to make a good SC game :P)




7. Killer Instict





Oooohh man. KI was genious, one of the...no I'm sorry the BEST game the Rare has ever produced(sorry 007 and Perfect Dark) is defenitatly one of the best fighthing games ever. You want something unique? KI has it for you. Like most good fighters, KI had the entire package, Cool characters, great music, and gameplay that was absoulte fun. The combos were insane and not to mention it started the infamous but awsome..C-C-C-C-Combo Breaker!!





6. BlazBlue





Haha yup, I know I just talked about how awsome Guilty Gear X2 was, but is there anything that tops it? Oooohh yeah introducing BlazBlue. Just like Guilty gear, Blazblue has awsome music, well balanced chracters, and visuals that do much more than impress. The simple to learn, hard to master controls come yet again, but this time for a new generation to experience the greatness of a good fighthing game. If you have a 360 or PS3, I heavily recomend this to ya.




5. Mortal Kombat II





Midway was the king of the early 90's.....but yeah now a days their games are not as good as they use to be, especially how stale the MK series is getting. However, their early MK games were straight out awsome, and the best of the bunch is MKII. Seeing Fatalities in action was something gamers havn't seen before in a fighthing game, sure the orignal did it first but this sequal was even better, More characters, more fun, and of course...more violence  :twisted:




4.Super Smash Brothers Brawl





Yep, the game that is the heart and soul of OBC(Well maybe not as much anymore) Nintendo making a fighter? No way!
oh but yes way! Using characters from various Nintendo Franchises(as well as some third parties) and a fighting system that is very well made, Nintendo made a game that both casual players and hardcore players can play happily together. Yes Melee had Wave dashing and L-canceling but I chose Brawl due to the simple fact that it's just plain out more fun, which is the purpose of games being made right? Having tons of items and challenges for the casual, and of course having all those competitive tournies for the hard core which are still going strong today makes SSBB one of the Elite fighters in history.






3. Capcom vs SNK 2






Capcom vs SNK is indeed one of the most complete fighters out there, Having six grooves to choose from to suit your personal fighthing style, throw that in with a HUGE roster of characters, and an INCREDIBLE soundtrack. Whew...you got yourself one badass game. Characters from Street fighter,Rival Schools,Fatal Fury,King of fighters, and much more make an appearance in this game. Though one minor complaint i have with this game is the selction of Capcom characters, 85% of them are from street fighter >_> which is not entirely bad its just that there are many franchises that could of been in which could of make this game even more epic. Though regard that fact, and this game is still VERY good.






2. Marvel vs Capcom 2






Alright lemme clear something up real quick, you may be thinking "Hey you hace CvS2 you can't have this one too!" well thats Part if the "Vs SNK" Series this one is part of the "Vs Marvel" series. Ok now with that out of the way, This game is Freakin awsome! No questions asked, the most chaotic and fun figther I have ever played is well worth the praise. If you remember to number 3. on this list(CvS2) I complained that the Capcom side was "eh" but on this one is a differnt story. Capcom characters from MANY different franchises make an apperance here, and its awsome. Yes people say its too hard to get good at this game, which in truth it is..I guess i just got lucky that I've been playing this game for quite a long time...anyways. this one is well worth to get it. 56 characters and different types to customize your team is just awsome. sure this game has 4 god tier characters that you might see often *cough magneto,storm,sentinal,cable cough* but other than that, this game is peferct.

1. Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike





Yup you saw it coming, I saw it coming, everyone did. We all know a Street fighter game was going to be on here, but on my perspective, 3rd Strike gets the adward for the best Street fighter and best fighthing game award. Why yes I know Street fighter IV is out, and yes that one is a fine damn good one, but I think that 3rd Strike edges it out and takes it. Let me start of with the visuals, its not anything HD but the animation to the characters and special moves is ABSOULUTLY astonishing. No 2d fighter looks more appealing to the eye than this one, and yes I mean it. The Music and sound are INCREDIBLE as well, ranging from Jazz, Hip-hop, Techno, Rock, its all there(speaking of which when you get the chance check out the OST for this one) and now of course to the most important part, the gameplay, no lie this game has the BEST fighthing mechanics to date. The Parrying system is very well inputed as well as all the combos. Put together with the awsome animations,awsome music, Street fighter III: 3rd strike is my pick for the BEST fighting game ever. Some of you may disagree with me, but hey like I said it's just my perspecticve nothing else.
