how all the threads/topics never say they're new because the day has passed or something, but i rarely have new posts when i know there has been posting. fix stuff.

Yeah, um I'm not sure how to change that. So, solutions:

Check OBC every day just before midnight!

Look at posts that say they are from after the time you last checked the site.
